Making her first appearance in a stand-alone event on the Ladies European Tour, West Australian Hira Naveed impressed with a tie for eighth at the PIF Saudi Ladies International.
Entering her second year on the LPGA Tour, Naveed was tied for fourth after an opening round of 5-under 67 and then climbed back into the top 10 on the back of a 2-under 70 in the final round.
Runner-up at the Ford Championship last March in her rookie season on the LPGA Tour, Naveed's share of eighth is her best result since, the cheque for almost $US100,000 the second-best of her career.
Captaining her team to second place in the team competition, Stephanie Kyriacou shot 74 in the final round to drop to a tie for 18th, New Zealand's Momoka Kobori two shots further back in a tie for 27th.
