• ALPG season to get underway at TRUST GOLF THAILAND LPGA MASTERS

The first event of the 2019 - 2020 ALPG Tour, the “TRUST GOLF THAILAND LPGA MASTERS 2019” will get underway next Wednesday 4th September at Panya Indra Golf Club just outside Bangkok.
The tournament, which also marks the final event of the 2019 Thailand Ladies Professional Golf Association (ThaiLPGA) season and the richest event on the Thai LPGA Tour, will once again be a tri-sanctioned event with the ThaiLPGA, ALPG Tour and China Ladies Professional Golfers’ Association.  

A press conference on 21st August was held at Panya Indra to launch the tournament, the Sport Authority of Thailand (SAT) and Singha Corporation, both long-term partners in the event joined in the festivities, along with the tournament’s new title sponsor Trust Golf, the development centre for innovation and technology for golf.

Dr. Prin Singhanat, the founder Trust Golf, shared “We are honored to be the main supporter of this famous tournament. Trust Golf prioritizes supporting golf activities, over-all benefit of players, and likewise, upscaling events to international platform. We believe it will surely bring names to our beloved Thailand.”

 Mr.Nuntapol Tongnilpun, the Professional Sport Developing Manager for the Sport Authority of Thailand remarked “On behalf of the national sport developer, we are pleased to encourage this event. Our main purpose is to upscale the domestic events to a global standard, to create opportunities and a platform for long-term growth”

Mr. Kittisak Chaimongkoltrakul, Director of Customer Relations of Singha Corporation said
 “Singha Corporation follows the policy to promote, support, and push athletic industry growth. To do so, we have a proud history of supporting for ThaiLPGA. We think it constantly builds accessible platform for our players. We hope it will be the stairs to bigger and a higher platform too.”

Finally, Ms. Patinya Kuantrakul, the President of ThaiLPGA, closed the press conference “We are entering our seventh year of ThaiLPGA’s Masters. Importantly, it is the third year of the tournament being tri-sanctioned with the ALPG and CLPGA, and this platform is now solidified as notable and strong and provides support for our associations players and the association itself. We are looking forward to seeing the players exchange and learn from one another.”

The “TRUST GOLF THAILAND LPGA MASTERS 2019” will see 120 participants from over 16 nations competing for prizemoney of 4 Million Thai Baht (approximately AUD$193,000) prize money on offer, with the first prize of 600,000 Thai Baht (approximately AUD$29,000)
There will be 44 players from the China LPGA, 20 from ALPG, 19 sponsor invitations and 35 from theThaiLPGA which will include two of Thailand’s leading amateur players.

The tournament will be played over 54 holes from 4th – 6th September, with a cut after 36 holes to the leading 50 players including ties.

September 5 – 13.30 to 16.30 local time
September 6 – 11.30 to 14.30 local time

Tickets can be purchased onsite at Panya Indra Golf Club, the price is THB 500 per person for all 3 tournament days.
