Defending champion Meghan Maclaren and Swede Lynn Carlsson will take a two-shot lead into tomorrow`s final round of the Worrells Women`s NSW Open at Queanbeyan Golf Club.
Both players shot impressive third rounds of 4-under par 67, Maclaren playing in the second to last group today while Carlsson played in the final threesome with overnight leader Valdis Jonsdottir and German Karolin Lampert.
Jonsdottir and Lampert will start the round in a tie for third place alongside Austrian Christine Wolf at 8 under par, two shots off the lead.
The leading Australian, Rebecca Artis had an up and down third round including a bogey at her final hole today, and will need to come from 4 shots back if she is to claim her first win on home soil this week.
Pre-tournament favourite Sarah Kemp has given herself an outside chance of victory after a third round 68 left her at -3 in a tie for 12th place, 7 shots off the lead.
The best round of the day belonged to South African Lejan Lewthwaite, who shot a superb 6 under par 65 to move inside the top-10 at -4.
