Gold Coast resident Rebecca Artis will start as the hot favourite to take out the Aveo Brisbane Invitational Pro-am at McLeod Golf and Country Club in Brisbane`s outskirts on Tuesday.

The 30-year-old, winner of two major tournaments on the Ladies European Tour, is coming off a tie for 12th at last week`s Worrell`s NSW Women`s Open, and is looking to add a second ALPG title to her list of accomplishments, which includes representing Australia at the 2016 UL International Crown with teammates Karrie Webb, Minjee Lee and Su Oh.

Defending Champion, Englishwoman Felicity Johnson has spent the past two months competing on the ALPG Tour, and will also be hard to beat this week.
Johnson has the distinction of having made the cut at every event in 2018 and is coming off three top 20 finishes in her last three starts, including a tie for 5th place last week in Queanbeyan. 

This year marks the fifth anniversary of the Brisbane Invitational, this year 35 ALPG professionals from nine different countries will be teeing up on Monday 18th March in a fun Texas Scramble team format, and then in an 18-hole stroke play event on Tuesday 19th March, with $30,000 of prizemoney on offer.
