American Kim Kaufman shot a second successive 66 to take a two-shot lead into the weekend at the ISPS Handa Vic Open at 13th Beach Golf Links in Barwon Heads today.
The 27-year old, who hails from South Dakota in the USA, played her second round this morning on the 13th Beach Creek Course making 6 birdies and an eagle on route to her 7 under par round of 66.
In second place is Japanese star Haru Nomura on 11 under par, while Victorian Su Oh is lurking at -10 alone in 3rd place just three shots off the lead.
Karrie Webb will head into the weekend in a tie for 5th place after shooting a superb 7 under par 65 on the Beach Course this afternoon to sit at -7 for the tournament. Webb had not competed in a professional tournament since the Ricoh Women`s British Open seven months ago, but showed her class in front of the large galleries at 13th Beach treating them to a flawless display of golf.
Defending champion Minjee Lee squeezed into the weekend after finishing at even par and was one of the 76 players who made the halfway cut at even par on the women`s side. 80 players made the cut in the men`s event meaning a full day of golf will be played over 13th Beach Golf Links Beach course tomorrow starting at 6:50am
