History will be made on the ALPG Tour tomorrow when 81 professional players from 30 different countries will tee it up at Ballarat Golf Club in Victoria for the first ever Qualifying Tournament for the APG Tour.

Exemptions will be available into all events on the 2019 ALPG Tour, including the ISPS Handa Vic Open where the leading eight players not otherwise exempt will get to tee it up, and the ISPS Handa Women’s Australian Open where the leading player not otherwise exempt will gain a start.
The leading 15 players not otherwise exempt will gain exemptions into the Australian Ladies Classic Bonville, the ActewAGL Canberra Classic and the Women’s NSW Open. Other exemptions will also be available into the New Caledonia Sheraton Deva Pro-am, the Aoyuan International Moss Vale Pro-am, the Brisbane Invitational and the Yamba Golf Club ALPG Pro-am.

The leading player competing in the Qualifying Tournament is American Kim Kaufman, a regular on the US LPGA Tour who is ranked 241 on the Rolex Women`s World Rankings.
Other notable names competing this week are a former winner of the Ladies European Tour Order of Merit, American Beth Allen, US Collegiate star Cheyenne Knight and South Australian Tamie Durdin, who is making a comeback to professional golf after a 3-year stint on the sidelines. Durdin competed regularly on the lucrative LPGA of Japan Tour where she recorded a win at the 2019 Fujisankei Ladies Classic.

19-year-old Gold Coaster Robyn Choi will also be teeing it at Ballarat Golf Club this week having secured her LPGA Tour card for 2019 back in November 2018.

Play will get underway at 12:00 pm AEDT, entry is free and spectators are welcome.
