THAI LPGA ANNOUNCE TRI-SANCTIONED SEASON-FINALE TOURNAMENT, “PTT THAILAND LPGA MASTERS 2018”, AT PANYA INDRA GOLF CLUB, 19-21 SEPTEMBER

Bangkok, 4 September 2018 : It was announced today that the 2018 season-finale of THAI LPGA Tour, “PTT Thailand LPGA Masters 2018”, under the support of PTT Group, Sports Authority of Thailand (SAT) and National Sports Development Fund (NSDF), and Singha Corporation, will be played from 19-21 September 2018 at Panya Indra Golf Club – Bangkok,  with total prize money of 4 million Thai Baht.
The tournament will be tri-sanctioned between Thai LPGA, China LPGA and ALPG Tour once again in 2018 and will attract world ranking points.

The “PTT Thailand LPGA Masters 2018” Press Conference was held on Tuesday, 4 September at Panya Indra Golf Club, the stunning golf course host venue in Bangkok, attended by representatives of major supporters such as PTT Public Company Limited, Sports Authority of Thailand and Singha Corporation.

Mr. Parat Suwannamaytakorn - Director of Professional Sports Promotion and Development Division, Professional Sports and Boxing Department of Sports Authority of Thailand stated at the press conference that, “On behalf of the state government that is the major supporter for all kind of sports in Thailand, we are glad to see the improvement of professional sports in terms of management, organizers and players by pushing the creating of these kind of stages and make Thailand to be the sport hub of region for sport tourism policy. SAT is one who witness the success of THAI LPGA since the first year of its establishment. We admire THAI LPGA’s willful intention for golfing and this tournament will be one proof of its success.”

The THAI LPGA is celebrating its 10^th anniversary in 2018, 10 years of growing ladies professional golf in Thailand and producing many talented and skilled players who have performed on the international and world-class stages, under the  leadership of Dr. Somporn Juangroongruangkit – the first president and co-founder who served in the position for 4 years and Khun Patinya Kuantrakul - the second president who served after Dr. Somporn to the present year.

“PTT THAILAND LPGA MASTERS 2017” is a ladies professional golf tournament originated and organized by THAI LPGA. The field for the 2018 edition features 114 players from 15 countries made up of; 35 players from the THAI LPGA, 44 players from China LPGA, 20 players of  ALPG and 15 sponsor invites will compete in a 54 holes stroke play format over 3 rounds. There is cut-off after 2 rounds for the top 50 players and ties who will compete in the final round on 21st September for total purse money of 4 million Thai Baht and world ranking points.
The champion will earn 600,000 Thai Baht in prize money. The tournament is supported by PTT Public Company Limited, Sports Authority of Thailand and National Sports Development Fund, Singha Sorporation, Panya Indra Golf Club, Thongchai Jaidee Foundation, Betagro and True Visions.

The tournament will be  Broadcast LIVE on Thursday, 20 September (13.30-16.30 hrs.) and Friday, 21 September (11.30-14.30 hrs.) is through True Sport HD 2 of True Visions.
Admissions tickets are available at ticket booths in Panya Indra Golf Club from 19-21 September at 100 Thai Baht/person (3-day pass) and free entry for spectators under 18 years old and over 60
