Local star Parinda Phokan will take a four-stroke lead into tomorrow’s final round of the PTT Thailand Masters at Panya Indra Golf Club in Bangkok over compatriot Waralee Atcharerk, with New Zealand’s Munchin Keh in a group of three players a further two shots back.

Phokan, who is from Khon Kaen province splits her time between the LPGA Tours of China and Taiwan, started the day tied for the lead after an opening six under par 66. Another near faultless display this morning saw the 21-year-old card a superb 5 under par round of 67 to sit at 11 under par.
Talented 18-year-old Thai rookie Atcharerk added a 3 under par 69 to her opening 68 and seems to be the only realistic challenger to Phookan, she will no doubt need another low round tomorrow if she is to catch the leader who was runner-up at this event in 2017.

The cut was made after today’s second round to the leading 50 professional players plus ties at +3
