About Australian Ladies Professional Golf (ALPG)
Formed in 1972 and now based on the Tweed Coast in Northern NSW, ALPG is a member-based organisation that is the sanctioning body for women’s professional golf in Australia and New Zealand.
ALPG is an enthusiastic and passionate organisation which has a long and proud history of expanding and improving career opportunities for women professional golfers.
The ALPG Tour is recognised by the Rolex Women’s World Golf Rankings as one of the seven major women’s professional tours in the world.
In 2018/2019 ALPG Tour will consist of a minimum of 14 events including the 2019 ISPS Women’s Australian Open and the Vic Open.
Key Responsibilities
As Operations and Membership Manager you will be responsible for the following and report directly to the ALPG Chief Executive Officer.
- Administering and managing the day to day operations of the ALPG office;
- Servicing ALPG Tournaments and Pro-ams events;
- Servicing Non-Tour related events such as ALPG National Clinics and other special events;
- Liaising and communicating with members and managing member services;
- Managing tournaments and events through the ALPG Tournament Management System;
- Working with ALPG website providers to service and update the ALPG website;
- Working with ALPG bookkeeper to ensure all payments are invoiced and recorded in MYOB;
- Working alongside ALPG staff liaising with media to advance the profile and stature of the ALPG and its members;
- Working alongside ALPG staff to implement ALPG marketing and communications strategy;
- Assisting with maintenance of sponsor relationships capable of delivering greater opportunities for ALPG and its Members;
- Assist with managing the ALPG social media plan and the ALPG digital media strategy;
- Building and maintaining strong and positive relationships with industry partners and sponsors;
Qualifications/Requirements
- Be a strong team player who contributes to ALPG’s member-centric environment;
- Have excellent attention to detail and organizational skills with the ability to effectively time manage and handle multiple competing priorities;
- Ability to work with integrity, respect, accountability, energy, passion and purpose;
- Strong working knowledge of data-processing tools including but not limited to Microsoft Excel, Word and Powerpoint;
- Knowledge and understanding of the game of golf a requirement;
- Previous event experience advantageous;
- Previous MYOB (or similar) experience advantageous;
- Hold a valid driver’s licence and passport;
- Attend ALPG office in Tweed Heads, NSW, 4 days per week;
- Flexibility to travel to ALPG events as required (8 - 12 weeks per year);
An appropriate remuneration package will be offered commensurate with the role and the successful applicant’s skills and experience.
