ALPG announced today that the recently opened five-star Sheraton Deva Resort & Spa, a $250 million world-class beach-front Resort, will host the South Pacific’s first Women’s Professional Golf tournament to be played from 22nd to 24th of May 2018.
The pro-am style format will boast prize money of $40,000, and will be an official ranking event on the Australian Ladies’ Professional Tour 2017/18 schedule.
The event will be played over 3 days, day one on 22nd will be a fun pro-am which will give the opportunity for the players to see the golf course, with the final two days on 23rd and 24th being the official tournament days.
The final round will be a seeded draw with the two leading professionals playing alongside the two leading amateurs, and so on through the field. Amateurs will be playing a stableford competition in the pro-am while the professionals will be playing a 36 hole strokeplay event.
Amateurs will play alongside the professionals in all three rounds, and there are only 40 spots available for overseas amateurs to play so don`t miss this amazing opportunity to play alongside the women professionals as they compete in an official ranking event.
