• Hannah Green to make professional teams debut at The Queens Cup

Hannah Green has had an incredible rookie year on both the ALPG Tour and the Symetra Tour in the USA, winning 3 times and gaining her card for the LPGA Tour in 2018.
Next week in Japan Hannah will make her debut representing Team ALPG at The Queens presented by Kowa, an international teams matchplay tournament between the ALPG, LPGA of Japan, The Korean LPGA Tour and the Ladies European Tour.

We sat down and chatted to Hannah about what it the tournament will mean to her.

Hannah, you have represented Australia a number of times at amateur level, at a professional level those opportunities are few and far between so what does it mean to be able to represent your home tour and your country at the upcoming Queens Cup?

\"Yeah I have been very fortunate to represent Australia multiple times. It doesn`t happen very often so when you get the opportunity it`s really exciting, it feels like your first time again. Its great that the ALPG is apart of this tournament and gives us Australian and Kiwis a cool chance to play against the other tours. Hopefully one day there can be a teams event like Solheim that includes Aus & NZ.\"

You have been quoted as saying that one of your idols in the game is Karrie for obvious reasons, what will it mean for you to represent team ALPG next week playing on a team lead by Karrie?

\"I think everyone on this team sees Karrie as their idol! I`m so excited about this event, I`ve missed out last year being at Q-School and heard from everyone how great the event/week was. So when I found out Karrie was going to be Captain I was so happy. To be able to hang out with her and everyone on the team will be awesome.\"

The team this year is an impressive one; you have had a fantastic 2017, Katherine Kirk has won on the LPGA Tour this year and was one shot out of a playoff at the Evian Championship, Sarah Jane Smith has had another very solid year on the LPGA and Sarah Kemp, Whitney Hiller, Stacey Peters and Cathryn Bristow have all had some great results this year. Is there anyone else on the team that you feel that you would really like to pair up with in either the fourball or the foursomes matches at The Queens?

\"This years team is really strong. As you said everyone has achieved a lot this year which is great, it means we are all in good form for Queens Cup. I really haven`t thought about pairings for the week. I am happy to play with anyone, it`s great that we all get along really well.\"

Have you had a chance to really take in what you have achieved in 2017? - a superb ALPG rookie season and taking that to the Symetra Tour performing so well and reaching the Holy Grail in women’s golf, The LPGA Tour.

\"To be honest no I don`t think it has sunk in. I thought maybe after flying back to Australia and leaving the US that maybe it would but I hope in a couple months time when I play my first LPGA event as a rookie that it has.\"
