On an afternoon where the lead changed several times, Thailand`s Saranporn Langkulgasettrin finally emerged victorious to claim her 5th professional title at the PPT Thailand LPGA Masters today.

Just when it looked like the tournament was heading for a sudden death playoff, the impressive 18-year-old made a superb eagle at the par 5 17th to take the outright lead , and made no mistake making a par on the 18th to secure the victory The Panya Indira Golf Club.
The youngster added a final round 71 to her opening rounds of 66 and 74, to finish at 5 under par and one shot ahead of a group of three players Budsabakorn Sukapan, Ploychompoo Wilairungreung and Parinda Phokan.

Saranporn turned professional at the tender age of 16 in 2015, and is firmly establishing herself as a rising star on the world stage. She is a member of both the Thai and China LPGA Tours, and prior to this week in her 25 starts as a professional she has missed just one cut, at the ChoJung Sparking Water Yongpyong Resort Open with SBS on the Korean LPGA Tour in late 2016.

Budsabakorn Sukapan was the first player this afternoon to set the clubhouse target at 4 under par after shooting a superb final round 68.
The twenty-year-old, who spent 2016 competing on the LPGA Tour and 2017 on the Symetra Tour, started the final round in spectacular fashion, making eagle at the first hole getting her quickly into red figures.
Further birdies at the 6th and 12th holes saw her get to 4 under par, before a bogey at the difficult par 4 13th dropped her back 3 under par. A much needed birdie at the par 5 17th hole put Sukapan back in the hunt and a par on the last ensured an anxious wait with three groups still on the golf course

The overnight leader Chatprapa Siriprakob had begun today`s final round at 6 under par with a 2 shot lead over fellow Thai players Ploychompoo Wilairungreung and Saranporn Langkulgasettrin, and Chen Yu Ju.
Siriprakob, searching for her first professional title in her fourth year as a professional, had a frustrating day at the office beginning her round with 11 consecutive pars before bogeys at the 11th, 13th and 16th holes saw her chances of victory gone

New Zealand`s Cathryn Bristow finished the best the ALPG contingent, shooting a final round 72 to finish at even par in a tie for 13th place.

New South Welsh woman Sarah Kemp`s scores improved as the week went on after recovering from the long flight from Indianapolis where had she competed on the LPGA Tour last week. She shot a final round 71 to finish at 3 over par in a tie for 24th place. 

Victorian Grace Lennon was the only other ALPG member to make it through to the final round, shooting a 1 under par 71 to move up the leaderboard into a tie for 29th place.

The winner this week will also receive invitations into ALPG tournaments in early 2018.
