Thai youngster Saranporn Langkulgasettrin will take a one-shot lead into the second round of the PTT Thailand LPGA Masters tomorrow after shooting an impressive opening 4 under par round of 68.
The impressive 18-year-old fired 7 birdies mixed with 3 bogeys this morning at the Panya Indira Golf Club, and is looking for career win number 5 having already claimed four professional titles in her young career.
Saranporn turned professional at the tender age of 16 in 2015, and is a member of both the Thai and China LPGA Tours. In her 25 starts as a professional she has missed just one cut, at the ChoJung Sparking Water Yongpyong Resort Open with SBS on the Korean LPGA Tour in late 2016.
With the high humidity and extreme temperatures taking its toll on a number of players, the Phuket native was obviously more comfortable in the oppressive conditions than many of her counterparts.
