Lydia Ko, the No. 1 player in the Rolex Rankings, enters the LOTTE Championship Presented by HERSHEY coming off back-to-back wins at the Kia Classic and the ANA Inspiration.

Ko etched her name into the record books once again with her dramatic victory and second major championship title at the ANA Inspiration. Ko birdied the 72nd hole to get to 12-under par and finished one shot ahead of Charley Hull and In Gee Chun.

With her win at ANA Ko has now won back-to-back Majors (2016 ANA Inspiration and 2015 Evian Championship), and has won back-to-back events on the LPGA (Kia Classic and ANA Inspiration)

The 18year old superstar from Auckland continues to re-write the record books, the ANA win also made her the youngest two-time Major winner in LPGA history and the second youngest two-time Major winner in golf history, and at 18 years, 11 months and 10 days Lydia became the second youngest player to win two Majors in golf history behind only Young Tom Morris who was 18 years, 4 months and 27 days old when he won the 1869 Open Championship.

Also in the field this week are the past 4 champions at Ko Olina, Ai Miyazato, Suzann Pettersen, local favourite Michelle Wie and Sei Young Kim who won in such stunning fashion in 2015

Minjee Lee looks to have the best chance of the ALPG brigade this week, she heads to Honolulu with some solid form behind her so far in 2016. Her worst finish from her 8 starts so far in 2016 was a tie for 32^nd at the ANA Inspiration, and she should be ready to fire again after a short break last week.
The 19year old teen sensation from Western Australia who is currently ranked 17^th on the Rolex Women’s world rankings broke through for her first LPGA victory at the Kingsmill Championship as a rookie last year, and followed that up with her first top 10 in a major championship finishing tied for 9th place at the Ricoh Women`s British Open at Turnberry in August.

Su Oh, Katherine Kirk, Sarah Jane Smith and Sarah Kemp are the other Australians in the field, all of whom who will be looking for improved performances this week.
