• Keating wins thriller at Brisbane Invitational with final hole birdie

Stacey Keating won her third ALPG event of the 2015/2016 winning the Brisbane Invitational today in style at McLeod Country Golf Club in Brisbane.

The 29 year old Victorian needed a par at the par three 18th hole to force a playoff with Canada’s Kyla Inaba and Norwegian Tonje Daffinrud, but went one better holing a putt from 15 metres to take the victory.

Keating was delighted with her win, which takes her into the lead on the 2016 ALPG Club Car series. \"It’s been a long few weeks and I am really happy to get another win on the board. I have played well the last few weeks but just not finished the job off so this is a great feeling\"

The tournament was under threat of not finishing today after heavy rain caused a one hour delay, and the decision was made to resume play this afternoon with only the professionals playing once the course was clear. Keating was grateful that this decision was taken, as were all of the professionals who played today  \"A huge thank you everyone at McLeod and especially to the amateurs who sacrificed their afternoon`s golf to enable us to get a result today\"

Keating also will be in the running for the McLeod/Yamba bonus of $5000 which is being offered to the leading player over the final two events of the ALPG season.

The ALPG Tour now heads to the spectacular Yamba GC on the NSW North Coast for the final event of the 2015/2016 season.
