ALPG star Stacey Keating braved cold and windy conditions to collect her 5th ALPG title today in Auckland, winning the Anita Boon ALPG pro-am at the North Shore GC. Keating started the day two shots behind overnight leader and local favourite Cathryn Bristow, but soon closed the gap with 4 birdies in her first eleven holes. Keating hung on in the tough conditions making pars at each of her closing seven holes, signing for a flawless round of 68 which was good enough for a 3 shot victory over Bristow.

For Keating the 2012 French and Spanish Open Champion, the 2015 season has been a frustrating one for the usually consistent performer, \"this year my form has been patchy at best,the good has been very good but the bad has been awful! I made some serious changes to my game early this year, and they have taken some time to bed in which I expected. The positive thing has been that the good stuff has been good enough to keep me believing that I was on the right path. I am not the most patient person in the world and this has been a big test for me this year.To end the season win a win is a great feeling and it is really satisfying after all the hard work we have put in\"

Keating also was quick to thank the sponsors KFC New Zealand and Coca-Cola Amatil for their ongoing commitment to the tournament, and also paid thanks to her caddy for the second round, Next Generation Club attendee \"Ella\". Keating and a number of fellow professionals attended a Next Generation Club mentoring session with eleven potential stars of the future prior to their second round, after which they offered the girls the opportunity to caddy for them in round 2.

Bristow, while disappointed not to win will take a lot away from her 2nd place finish.. She has also endured a frustrating season, forced to sit out much of the 2015 ALPG tour with a chronic neck injury, The injury required rest and some serious rehabilitation, and after a period away from the game a welcome return to form in the second half of the season has ensured that she has secured her playing rights on the Ladies European Tour for 2016. A fit Bristow has the talent to contend anywhere she plays and there is no doubt that she will be already planning for her next event which will be the Dubai Ladies Masters in December.

LPGA star Sarah Kemp shot a disappointing 4 over par 76 to finish at +4 and in a share of 3rd place alongside defending champion Cherie Alison and Sydney`s Adriana Brent.

Friday the 13^th proved to be lucky for one player, Victorian professional Sienna Lambert holed out her opening shot of the day on the par 3 16th hole for a hole-in-one!

The Anita Boon pro-am is held annually in honour of former New Zealand player Anita Boon, a passionate proponent of women’s golf who passed away from ovarian cancer. With the assistance of loyal sponsors KFC and Coca-Cola, the tournament continues to raise funds for the NZ Gynaecological Cancer Foundation, which was Boon’s chosen charity.
