Golfers of all ages and abilities will be able to take their best shot at a million dollar hole-in-one at
an Australia-wide amateur charity golf competition to be held in JUNE
Take a Stroke for Stroke is the brainchild of Gary Begg, a professional golfer who says the event
combines his passion for golf with his drive to raise money for charity.
“This event is all about getting people to get out and have a go on the golf course and importantly
raise awareness about strokes and what they can do,” Mr Begg says.
“This is the first event of its kind in Australia, offering participants the opportunity to take a shot at a
million dollar hole in one at the National Final on the New South Wales Central Coast.
“Golfers all around the country, can enter the first-stage of the competition via a gold coin donation
at their local participating golf club or driving range.
“I encourage all golf clubs and golfers interested in being a part of this Australian first event to get
involved.”
The first stage of Take a Stroke for Stroke will be held at participating golf clubs around the country
starting on JUNE 1st. The National Final will be staged at Mercure Kooindah Waters on the
Central Coast of New South Wales, where participants will have the chance to shoot for a million
dollar hole-in-one. in December
As an inclusion to the million dollar hole-in-one, entrants will be in the running to take home $1.5
million in prizes including one of 150 sets of premium Wilson clubs just for a NTP
A portion of the proceeds raised from the first stage of the competition will be donated to the
National Stroke Foundation.
The event is supported by Mercure Kooindah Waters Resort ,Accor Hotels,Inside Golf, Wyong
Shire Council,Wilson Staff Golf,Australian Golf Writers Association,Tom Tom GPS products Great
West Stud and The event is approved under Amateur Rules by Golf Australia.
