Minjee Lee  posted a third round of two-under-par, 69, at the Kingsmill Championship presented by JTBC to be contention to capture her first LPGA title.

The LPGA rookie has carded rounds of 68, 67 and 69 on the River course at the Kingsmill Resort to be 9-under-par and is just two off the lead, currently held by Perrine Delacour.

Delacour fired a four-under-par 67, which included three birdies in the final five holes, is unfamiliar territory having only made one cut this season on the LPGA, where she finished tied 16^th.

Outright second at 10-under-par is American Alison Lee (70), while the Australian shares third place with American Paula Creamer (66) and South Korean So Yeon Ryu (68).

The former world no.1 amateur has been very consistent this week, every round she has hit 10 of 14 fairways, 14 of 18 greens in regulations and had just 30 and 31 putts per round.

Lee’s third round included three birdies on the 3^rd, 5^th and 13^th holes, while her only blemish came on the front nine, when she bogeyed the par 4, fourth.

Minjee’s best finish to date in an LPGA event was in the ISPS Handa Women’s Australian Open in February, where is finished in a tie for seventh, however she was never in contention in Melbourne.  

There are three other Australians who made the week-end and they all had relatively good rounds.  NSW’s Sarah Kemp moved into a share of 20^th position at three-under-par total after posting a 68, while Katherine Kirk posted the same score and has moved to one-under-par and tied for 38^th.  One of the players at one-under-par with Kirk is fellow Queenslander, Sarah Jane Smith.  Smith posted an even par round of 71 on Saturday.

Minjee is paired with American Lexi Thompson in the final round and they tee off at 2.45pm local time.
