The ALPG is delighted to announce that Rachel Hetherington has joined the ALPG Board as a Player Director.
Rachel is one of the ALPG’s most successful players, second only to Karrie Webb in prizemoney earnings, amassing more than US$6 million in earnings and winning 11 International titles, 8 of them on the US LPGA Tour.
ALPG President Shani Waugh was delighted at Hetherington’s appointment “Rachel is one of our most successful players and is incredibly well regarded and respected in the golf world for her professionalism and dedication to the game. Rachel brings to the ALPG board so much experience not just as a player, but also from running a successful teaching business and driving range over the past 4 years. “
Hetherington said “I am extremely honoured to be on the board of the ALPG and look forward to being a part of the exciting initiatives the ALPG have in promoting and supporting golf for women of all ages in Australia”
ALPG superstar Karrie Webb was also delighted to hear news of Hetherington’s new role. “It is great news that Rach has joined the ALPG board, she will be a great asset. Rach has experienced golf at the highest level as well as recently crossing over to the business and teaching side of the game. I think she will have a well-rounded look at what needs to be done to lead the ALPG into the future.”
