The ALPG is pleased to announce that after the success of the initial women’s clinic at Oatlands Golf Club in Sydney last September, it has already secured nine venues for clinics around Australia for 2015.
The purpose of the ALPG National Clinics is to showcase the talented ALPG Teaching Professionals that the organisation has all around the country and to help get more women playing and enjoying the game.
To maximise the experience for each participant, the ALPG’s clinics go for an entire day.
Headlining each clinic are two of Australia’s best known and most credential players, 8-time LPGA winner Rachel Hetherington and multiple LET winner Shani Waugh. Complimenting, and assisting at each of the clinics, are locally based ALPG teaching pros and ALPG coach and board member Lee Harrington, who manages our development area.
Harrington explained what a typical clinic would entail,
“The day generally starts with a breakfast, where the participants are split into their groups for the day.” We then follow this up with a ‘Swing Fit’ session, introducing the ladies to this new innovative golf health, fitness and skill development program.
A day at an ALPG Clinic includes: Personalized instruction: full swing, putting, and short game, On-course playing lesson, Breakfast, luncheon and networking reception and Complimentary gift bag.
“Rachel and Shani will conduct a skills session in the morning and then head in the afternoon on course, putting them through their paces, instructing them to play shots from every area of the golf course you could imagine!” Every participant will get to experience their expertise on the day.
“The ladies at our first clinic were delighted with what they learnt and loved the whole experience of spending a day amongst our ALPG coaches.”
National clinics are confirmed on the following dates in 2015 and at the following venues:
Windsor GC (NSW) and Manly GC (NSW) are confirmed on hosting events but the dates to are to be confirmed.
The ALPG’s NSW clinics are proudly being sponsored by Bing Lee, who has been a tremendous supporter of the Women’s NSW Open and our ALPG YouTube site, Delonghi Australia and The R&A.
