NSW’s Rebecca Artis has continued her great form and recorded a top 10 finish in the World Ladies Championship being played at Mission Hills, Hainan, China.
Artis was runner-up at last week’s Bing Lee Fujitsu Women’s NSW Open posted rounds of 72, 72, 69 and a one-over-par 74 to finish at five-under-par and outright eighth.
The Ladies European Tour tournament was eventually won by LPGA player So Yeon Ryu. Ryu’s final round of four-under-par 69 on the Blackstone course saw her overtake former Rolex World No.1 Inbee Park. Ryu finished at 13-under-par and just one stroke ahead of Park.
Norway’s Suzann Pettersen and China’s Xiyu Lin share third place at 10-under-par, while Finland’s Ursula Wikstrom four-under-par 69 saw her jump up into outright fifth at nine-under-par.
New Zealand’s Cathryn Bristow finished tied for 33rd at five-over par, after rounds of 73, 75, 77 and 72.
The next event on the LET is the Lalla Meryem Cup in Morocco the week commencing 23rd March.
