The 2015 Club Car Series tees off on Friday with the second staging of the BWAC Regional Employment and Community Services ALPG Pro-am at the beautiful Yamba Golf Club. 

The players are certainly looking forward to the event on the tricky picturesque layout and will be vying for their share of the $20,000 on offer.

A high calibre field of 49 ALPG and international players are competing.  The majority of the players are Australians, however we also have players from New Zealand, Ireland, Denmark, USA, Canada and the Cook Islands in the field, which is fantastic for the event and our tour.

One of Australian best female golfers, Rachel Hetherington is making a comeback to tournament golf in Australia.  The eight time LPGA winner stopped playing on the LPGA back in October 2010.  Even though she hasn’t played  on the ALPG tour since, she will go in as one of the favourites.  Along with her eight LPGA titles, she also finished in the top 10 in LPGA events an incredible 62 times and also won three times in Europe.

Hetherington is joined in the field by reigning Club Car Series champion Sarah Kemp and Ladies European Tour winner Rebecca Artis. 

NSW’s Emma De Groot will also be one to watch, the Coffs Harbour golfer recently secured a “conditional” card on the LPGA Tour for this year and will be looking to get her year off to a great season at home before returning to the States in February.

All eligible players will be looking to get off to a flying start in the Club Car Series.  The player with the greatest number of points at the conclusion of the Bing Lee Fujitsu General Women’s NSW Open will take a cheque for $6,500.
