NSW’s Nikki Garrett is in prime position to capture her first Club Car Series bonus pool title with two events to go.  

Garrett, who won the opening event of the Series in Yamba, BWAC Regional Employment and Community Services Pro-am  sits on top of the points table with 688.75.  The two-time LET winner is 188.75 points ahead of Renault Ladies Pro-am winner Marion Ricordeau and American Beth Allen who took out the Pennant Hills ALPG Pro-am.  

This year, the Club Car Series eligibility criterion has been amended to allow the ALPG’s International Members to be eligible to be part of the Series and win the bonus pool.   It has been a great success and certainly added another level of interest amongst the players.

Queensland’s Bree Arthur, 463.75 and right in the mix, while New Zealand’s rookie Liv Cheng is also in contention in 425 points.  Ireland’s Rebecca Codd is sitting in sixth place with 350 points.  Victorian Stacey Keating is seventh with 338.75, NSW Emma de Groot is eighth at 327.05, while Rachel Hetherington is ninth 313.75 points.

The Club Car Series now heads to Victoria for the Oates Victorian Open, double points are on for this week’s tournament and then for the final event in the first week of March, at the Bing Lee Fujitsu Women’s NSW Open.  With double points up for grabs the players will certainly be trying to win, or finish as high as they can in the top 10 to maximise the number of points they can pick up.
