• Kemp Posts Top 10 Finish

Sarah Kemp fired a final round of 68 to finish in the top 10 at the Xiamen Open in China.

The NSW golfer started the final round in a tie for 25th place, however, six birdies and two bogeys saw Kemp climb up the leaderboard to finish at four-under-par and outright eighth.

The inaugural Xiamen Open was won by Chinese amateur Ssu-Chia Cheng who carded rounds of 70, 68 and 68 to finish at 10-under-par and three clear of France’s Marion Ricordeau. Another French player, Alexandra Vilatte and American Beth Allen shared third position at six-under-par.

Unfortunately, Nikki Garrett, who started the final round in contention could reproduce her form of the first two rounds and signed for a 76 to finish at one-under-par and in a tie for 17th place.  Rebecca Artis also fell back down the leaderboard after a final round of 78.  Artis finished tied for 40th at three-over-par.

Nikki Campbell (72) and Whitney Hillier (74) both finished in share of 50th place at five-over, while Stephanie Na (75) was a further shot back and tied for 58th.   Alison Whitaker (80) finished in a tie 66th at 13-over.
