10 Australians are teeing it up in the inaugural Xiamen Open being played at the Orient (Xiamen) Golf and Country Club.  Campbell who is coming off her third place last week in the Sanya event is joined in the field by Rebecca Artis, Stacey Keating, Ashley Ona, Sarah Kemp, Bree Arthur, Whitney Hillier, Stephanie Nat, Nikki Garrett and Alison Whitaker.
 
Campbell who has been the most consistent Australian player on the LET will be hoping to secure her first victory this week after nine top 10 finishes, including two runner-up finishes this season.  Campbell currently sits sixth on the ISPS Handa Order of Merit with just over Euro 156,800.
 
With only two events left on the LET schedule this season, this week is very important for many of the Australians, if they have a good week they can secure their card for 2015.
 
The favourites this week are China’s Xi Yu Lin and England’s Charley Hull.  Lin is coming off back to back wins,  after she successfully defended the Sanya’s Hills Classic on the China LPGA Tour a fortnight ago and then she captured the Sanya Ladies Open last week, which was a tri-sanctioned by the CLPGA, Ladies European Tour (LET) and Ladies Asian Golf Tour (LAGT),
Hull finished second, five strokes behind Lin in the Sanya Ladies Open on Sunday and she is hoping to turn the tables on her Asian competitor. It’s an interesting rivalry, as both players are talented 18-year-olds and second year members of the LET who have extensive experience of international competition. Ranked second and 30th on the LET order of merit respectively, Hull and Lin are also both targeting their second Ladies European Tour titles, Hull having won the Lalla Meryem Cup in Morocco in March after last year’s victorious Solheim Cup appearance in Colorado.

Young guns Hull and Lin have been grouped together for the first two rounds of the 54-hole stroke play event, alongside Campbell.
