Australian Karrie Webb has maintained her position in the top 10 at the halfway mark of the Honda LPGA Thailand.

Webb got off to a solid start in her second round posting birdies at the 7th and 9th holes to go out in 34. The World Golf Hall of Famer then drained a 15 foot eagled putt on the par 5 10th hole to move to seven-under-par and into a share of third at the time. Unfortunately she couldn’t keep the momentum going and bogeys on the 12th, 15th and 18th saw her sign for a one-under-par 71. The Queenslander is at four-under-par total for the tournament and tied for ninth.

2012 Rolex Player of the Year, American, Stacey Lewis holds a three-shot lead. One day after matching her career low round of 63, Lewis shot a 3-under 69 to maintain her lead for a second straight day on the Pattaya Old Course at Siam Country Club.

Lewis, had five birdies and two bogeys in her round on Friday and said that things didn’t come as easy to her on this day as they did in the first round.
“It’s always hard to follow up a really good day,” Lewis said. “I thought if I could shoot 4 or 5 under that would still be a really solid day. I almost got there but it was kind of up and down. I definitely left a few out there. I didn’t hit it as good today but I made some putts on the back nine and still have a three-shot lead so I can’t complain.”

Lewis leads by three shots over Thailand’s Ariya Jutanugarn (66). The 17-year-old is a rookie on the Ladies European Tour this season while her 18-year-old sister Moriya is a rookie on the LPGA Tour. Both of the Jutanugarns are from Bangkok and are playing in this week’s field as sponsor invites.
South Korean So Yeon Ryu (68), Scotland’s Catriona Matthew (69) and Beatriz Recari (68) share third position at eight-under-par. American Lizette Salas 969) and South Korean Se Ri Pak (68) sit a further shot back and right in the mix.

Katherine Hull had a better second round posting an even par round of 72 to be at six-over-par total and tied for 62nd position.

Defending champion Yani Tseng posted an impressive four-under-par 68 to move up into a tie for 25th position at one-under. Meanwhile New Zealand’s Lydia Ko continues to impress and will play with Webb again in the third round after she posted a 71 to be at four-under-par with Webb, Japan’s Ai Miyazato and American Jessica Korda.
