An exciting one hour show on the recent 2014 Oates Vic Open titled “Life is Greener†will air on Channel 9 this coming Sunday 16 March at 2:00pm.
The show will consist of some of the thrilling highlights of both the Men’s and Women’s Championships that were played at Thirteenth Beach Golf Links as well as a number of golfers from the PGA Tour of Australasia and ALPG Tour going head-to-head off the course in a number of ‘Battle of the Sexes’ challenges.
One of the challenges includes a skydive between 2013 Women’s Vic Open Champion Stacey Keating and Jack Wilson who exploded into the spotlight late last year finishing third at the Australian PGA Championship behind eventual winner Adam Scott and American Rickie Fowler. Both golfers courage is stretched to its limits as they attempt to land in the middle of the 18th fairway on the Beach Course at Thirteenth Beach in front of participants from the Pro-Am.
Viewers will also see Australian cricket legend Ricky Ponting tee it up in the Pro-Am. Ponting’s three-under performance in the Wednesday Pro-Am on the eve of the tournament generated a lot of interest from the wider sporting community with many believing Australian cricket’s all-time run scorer has the talent to turn professional as a golfer.
The 2014 Oates Vic Open was a tremendous success with over 20,000 spectators flocking to Thirteenth Beach during tournament week and two strong fields assembled for both the men and women including Jarrod Lyle, Laura Davies, Richard Green and Sophie Gustafson.
Watch all the drama unfold this Sunday.
