Norway’s Suzann Pettersen will take a one shot lead into tomorrow’s final round of the US$1.7m LPGA LOTTE Championship presented by J Golf, being played in Hawaii.
The Rolex Ranked World No. 6 carded at four-under-par 68 at the Ko Olina Golf Club to go with her opening rounds of 65 and 69 and sits at 14-under-par and one clear of South Korean Hee Kyung Seo (66). Defending champion Ai Miyazato (70) is a further two shots back in outright third with another South Korean Joo Hyo Kim (69) fourth at 10-under-par.
Queensland’s Karrie Webb was the only Australian to shot under par today, she signed for a two under-par 70. Webb started on the 10th hole, and got off to a solid start with a birdie on the par 4 11th, however she bogeyed the par 4 18th to go out in even par. The 38 year-old recorded seven pars and two birdies on the front nine, her back nine. Webb is tied for 24th position.
Fellow Queenslanders Katherine Hull-Kirk (74), Sarah-Jane Smith (73) and New South Wales Julia Boland (75) are all at two-over-par for the tournament and tied for 58th position. The remaining Australian Lindsey Wright is well back in a tie for 75th position after a disappointing 78.
New Zealand’s Lydia Ko moved up into a tie for 21st position with a round of 70, the 16-year-old is at four-under-par.
