Gold Coast golfer Courtney Massey has continued her strong start to the Symetra Tour with another top 10 finish early this morning in the Symetra Classic being played at the Raintree Country Club in Charlotte, North Carolina.

Massey fired a three-under-par 69 final round to finish at three-under and tied for sixth place. Her round included six birdied and three birdies. She earned just over $2,500 for her efforts.

The tournament was won by American Laura Kueny after she carded a one-under-par 71 to finish on at six-under-par. Kueny finish one clear of three players, including overnight leader Alena Sharp, Izzy Beisiegel from Canada and Sweden’s Caroline Westrup.

The only other Australian to make the cut was New South Wales’ Emma de Groot. She started the final round in a tie for fifth position, however four bogeys in her opening nine holes saw her chances slip away. But de Groot rallied on the back nine posting three birdies to sign for a one-over-par 73 to finish at two-under-par and tied for 12th position.
