New South Wales’ Sarah Kemp became the first multiple winner of Club Car Series Bonus Pool on Sunday at the conclusion of the Oates Vic Open.
The 28-year-old won the title back in the 2009/2010 ALPG Tour season and this season once again finished on top of the points table with strong performances throughout the seven events.
Kemp’s solid season included three runner-up finishes in the Inghams Antill Park Pro-am, Mt Broughton Classic and Renault Ladies Pro-am at Castle Hill Country Club events. The LPGA based player also finished 5th in the Pro-ams at Yamba and Moss Vale. Kemp secured her win with her T4 finish in the Oates Vic Open.
Kemp was delighted to be taking home a trophy and a cheque for $6,500 from Club Car.
“I’m stoked to win the Club Car Series again, Kevin Gates and his staff have been fantastic supporters of the ALPG over the years and we cant thank Club Car enough.†Kemp said.
“It is great to have the Club Car Series Bonus Pool as part of our Tour, it certainly adds a different dimension to playing all the events. In some events you think, well I’m not going that great, but them you think to push on and finish as high as possible to try and earn points for the Club Car Series.â€
ACT’s Nikki Campbell strong finish in the Oates Vic Open saw her leapfrog over Queensland’s Bree Arthur to finish second on the points table and take home $3,500. Unfortunately for Arthur, she couldn’t play the Vic Open due to a stress fracture in her wrist.
Arthur performances earlier in the season secured her third place and a cheque for $2,500. South Australian Stephanie Na finished 4th and received a cheque for $1,500, while another NSW player, Corie Hou, took home $1,000 for finishing in 5th.
