Australian Sarah Kemp carded a two-under-par 69 to be four-under-par total and outright eighth heading into the final round of the Lalla Meryem Cup being played at Golf de I’Ocean, Agadir in Morocco.

The New South Wales player will be chasing England’s rookie professional Charley Hull who leads a relatively inexperienced leaderboard at 11-under-par. The 17-year-old fired a superb seven-under-par 64 on Saturday in warm and sunny conditions. Her round included rolling in eight birdie putts and dropping just one shot on the par 3 ninth when she missed the green.

“I played well but I still feel that I left four putts there that edged the hole.” Hull said.

The talented teenager will take a one shot lead into Sunday over another rookie Thailand’s Ariya Jutanugarn, who posted a 67 today. Jutanugarn, who is also 17, will be looking to capture her first professional win after blowing a two shot lead going into the last hole at the recent Honda LPGA event in February in her home country.

It could turn into a battle of the teenagers but there are some players in the top 10 that have shown in the past they can shot very low scores, so the pair at the top shouldn’t get caught up watching each other and no-one else.

Three players share third position at eight-under and are right in the mix, South African Lee-Anne Pace (67) and the Americans pair of Beth Allen (67) and Katie Burnett (65). Pace, is definitely one of the players to watch, she is the only one in the top five that has won on the LET.

Swede Mikaela Parmlid (69) and England’s Laura Davies (69) share sixth a further three shots back at five-under-par. Kemp is eighth, while another English player Melissa Reid (70) and American Mallory Fraiche (72) round out the top 10 at three-under. Davies and Reid are the only other players to have won on the LET in the top 10. They have both shown in the past they can go really low and will have to do so tomorrow to put pressure on the leaders and get themselves in contention.

Kemp’s best finish on the LET is runner-up on a couple of occasions, will also have to go low on Sunday to put herself in the mix, but she definitely has the talent to do so.

ACT’s Nikki Campbell and NSW’s Karen Lunn were the only other Australians to make the week-end. Campbell has been consistent all week with rounds of 71, 70 and 71 to be at one-under total and tied for 11th. Defending champion Lunn posted a one-under-par 70 to move up the leaderboard, the 10 time winner on the LET, moved up 12 places to be tied for 32nd at two-over-par.
