• Aussie Durdin wins in Taiwan

Tamie Durdin captured another professional title when she won the Yeander Open on the Taiwan LPGA tour.

Durdin fired rounds of 69, 73 and 74 on the Linkou International Golf Course to finish at even-par and just one shot ahead of Taiwan’s Yu-Ling Hsieh.

The South Australian, who has played in American and more recently on the LPGA of Japan, decided not to return to Japan in 2014 and instead play some events in Taiwan and on the China LPGA.

Durdin was thrilled with her win, “It is hard to describe what I am feeling, it is unbelievable feeling to win again.”

The field had to endure all the elements during the three-day event, torrential rain which delayed the first round, thunder, lightning, wind and even an earthquake.

“We had everything this week, the torrential rain, earthquakes, sunshine, wind, it was amazing.” Durdin said from Taiwan.

One other Australian made the cut, Queensland’s Ashley Ona, who finished tied for 28th.

Durdin will stay in Taiwan for another TLPGA event this week.
