ALPG’S Executive Director Karen Lunn today announced the full 2014 ALPG Tour schedule.

Lunn has been extremely busy since taking up her new role, with one of her priorities getting the schedule set for 2014. The 2014 tour will once again tee off with players competing in a series of pro-ams, followed by three co-sanctioned events and finishing up with the Oates Vic Open.

For our 2014 tour we are thrilled to welcome a range of new partners to the ALPG including Fujitsu, Renault, Oates and BWAC.\"

The ALPG tour tees off with a new event, the BWAC Regional Employment and Community Services ALPG Pro-am at Yamba Golf Club on the 7th January. From there the players will head to the Southern Highlands to compete in the Inghams Antill Park Ladies Pro-am on the 10th January. Staying in the area, the tour’s next stop is the Moss Vale Golf Club Ladies Classic to be played over two days on the 13th and 14th January.

The players will then have a couple of days off to recharge and prepare for the Mount Broughton Ladies Classic to be held on the 17th and 18th January. The tour then makes a welcome return to Castle Hill Country Club in Sydney for The Renault Ladies Pro-am, which will be contested on the Monday 20th January.

The first of the tour’s major events, the Bing Lee Fujitsu Women’s NSW Open will be held from 24th to 26th January at the home of the event, Oatlands Golf Club in north-west Sydney. Players will then head across the Tasman for the ISPS Handa New Zealand Women’s Open at Clearwater Golf Club in Christchurch. This event is once again co-sanctioned with the Ladies European Tour (LET) and will be played from 31st January to 2nd February. This event will generate considerable interest with recently turned professional Lydia Ko defending her national title, this time as a professional.

The tour then returns to the magnificent Gold Coast for the 25th staging of the Volvik RACV Ladies Masters from the 6th to 9th February. This is a co-sanctioned event with the LET and players will be vying for their share of the Euro 250,000 on offer.

The second last stop is the pinnacle of the ALPG season, the ISPS Handa Women’s Australian Open being played this year at The Victoria Golf Club in Melbourne. The event is once again tri-sanctioned with the LPGA and LET and therefore the top players from around the globe will be coming to town. The Open is on from 13th to 16 February, with a purse of US1.2million.

The tour concludes with the Oates Victorian Open at the picturesque 13th Beach Golf Links at Barwon Heads, from 20th to 23th February.
